Today is another lovely travel day, back across China we go. All packed up and ready to go at 9 just waiting on the call to leave to catch a 3 hour bus to the train.
After sitting in the traffic for a little while, about 45 minutes, we arrive at the train station only to find that we have to run through as quick as we can which is not an easy task in a crowded train station. I would call it slightly bigger than Auckland Britomart by oh 20 to 30 times.
Quickly getting through the station the strap breaks on my new bag quickly grabbing the other side the other strap breaks hmm probably should have paid a little more than $30NZ for this one…. walking quicklime around we navigate around the corridors, walkways and stairs to find our platform. While waiting our 2 minutes for the train everyone gets ready, as usual you only have two minutes to jump on board. As the train pulls up one of the team starts yelling wrong train, great lets throw some confusion in there as well shall we! after 10 to 20 seconds of this we realised that person was wrong and everyone starts getting on board rather quickly, first round on them me thinks.
As the times where not told to us sooner, I wont say known because the organisers of the tour not the team had the tickets for a while, one of the busses was late and so missed the train! how would this team get through to the next stop you ask, well it was the only bus that probably wouldn’t have had a problem with that as it was the interpreters bus!
lastly was the final bus trip from the station to the hotel/conference centre our last stop before going home, this was a brief 45 minutes thank god.
